Enhanced Mobile Support

Construct Pro and Construct Unified are now progressively enhanced with jQuery Mobile. This development represents one of the many enhancements for mobile and tablet devices.

jQuery Mobile's default theme provides a number of swatches, implemented in such a way that you can either assign a single swatch for the entire mobile version of the template or independently assign a different swatch for each of the major template elements (page, header, navigation, content, footer). This allows you to effectively customize the look of your mobile template.

For devices that don't have JavaScript support, the mobile version of the template will gracefully degrade to a non-enhanced version (as seen on the far right), completely customizable by CSS. You can also select the positioning of the main navigation, relative to before or after the main content area.

The mobile detection script has been updated and you can optionally include tablets in the group of devices that are served the mobile version of your template. We have also implemented a responsive layout that will re-arrange the page for tablet devices based on their screen size.

If you prefer to implement a custom layout for mobile devices, the mobile and mobile offline versions of the template can be fully override using extended template layout overrides.
